Networking Event Hosted by CIRA
As a branding and website designer, I always jump at the chance when a company requests Edmonton Event Photography services. Why? Because it offers a welcome break from the screen and I get to be around real people! Finally, a break from my email. 😅
So it was a no-brainer when CIRA reached out to me looking for an Edmonton event photographer to capture their upcoming networking series Canadians Connected. With the event being hosted at The Pendennis in Edmonton for end of June it could not have been a more beautiful setting. The Pendennis is a historic building with floor to ceiling windows, a stunning multi-level layout and a beautiful patio area looking onto the Edmonton River Valley. If you’re looking for a space to host an event, I could not recommend The Pendennis enough! It was an incredible backdrop to photograph a networking event and also allowed me to avoid those not-so-nice flash photos – Bonus!
Hot tip for hosting your Edmonton networking event…
Venue matters! The flow between the primary event space (where the vendors and speaker stage were setup) and the lower level bar area, struck a perfect balance. It allowed people to mix and mingle, grab a drink, all while not feeling overcrowded. And if you care about your photo quality – it’s a venue that offers a ton of natural light.
Local Edmonton Vendors
The event offered attendees the opportunity to browse local vendors (such as Monster Sauce, Nest Embirdery, Local Laundry, Under this Moon, and Miji Jewelry), listen to local artists K4TGR4M and learn about online communities through a fireside chat with Chad Ohman.
Thanks so much for having me CIRA! I can’t wait to dip my toe more into the Edmonton Event Photography scene.
